LD Capitalist 316

On three separate occasions I have visited Capitalist at World West Sires in Billings, Montana and each time he has impressed me with his muscle expression, structure and foot shape.  Capitalist catapulted the Musgrave Angus Stud, in Illinois to the forefront of worldwide genetics in 2016, breeding many sale-toppers and sons that have gone on to produce outstanding cattle globally.  After inspecting the Capitalist progeny at Musgraves, I was excited to introduce these genetics immediately upon return.  A calving ease sire with carcase EBVs near the top of the Angus breed.

s chisum 255

One of Australia’s most astute cattle breeders, the late David Plant informed me of Chisum 255 during his visit to the United States in 2016.  The following year Chisum 255 was a must-see as part of my regular inspections.  He was an extremely impressive sire, oozing natural thickness, spring of rib, depth, width and tremendous fill right down the thigh.  His progeny were equally as impressive visiting Heiken Angus in Montana.  Chisum 255 is a fantastic carcase bull with EBVs in the top 19% for Eye Muscle Area (EMA), 10% rump fat, 3% docility and outstanding feet.

Baldridge Compass C041

Compass is a smooth-made, deep-bodied, individual with great feet and legs, combined in a moderate frame 6.  His sire EF Commando, was my pick of the entire sire line-up, at Genex in 2017.
